My name is Bhavesh S. Gupta. I’m an Associate Tech Lead at IDX and I work out of Vadodara.

I’ve been writing code professionally for eleven years, most of it across the stack: NodeJS, React and Next.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, Redis, Python, and a good deal of AWS. These days most of my time goes to live video and real-time systems, and to the far less interesting work that keeps them standing once real people show up: load testing, version upgrades, security audits, disaster-recovery plans.

Programming started as a hobby and still mostly feels like one. The part I like is a problem that doesn’t come apart on the first try.

Almost everything I build with is open source, and I keep coming back to it because it’s the shortest route I know to technology that makes people’s lives better. I still pick up new languages and tools when there’s room to, partly because the field keeps moving and partly because it’s fun.

Most of what I learn ends up here, usually as notes to myself about something I broke and then fixed.
